Software: Attalus Plantview™

Attalus PlantView™ is more than a data collection tool. Flexible and easy to use, Attalus PlantView™ consists of powerful algorithms through which operators can monitor and manage the spinning process in real time. Attalus PlantView™ can be installed on multiple computers in a plant so that it can be viewed and accessed by different users.

Setting Process Recipes

Attalus PlantView™'s algorithms sort through the data to isolate and alarm for process and product properties that are out of specification. The Attalus System's response to differing process events is easily differentiated. In fact, process and product faults show up as custom "fingerprints" in the Attalus signals that are easily trapped. For each process or a group of processes, the operator can assign a recipe name corresponding to the alarms and fault parameters that can be saved and reused.

Alarm Outputs

An online monitoring system must do more than just catch faults. It must provide alarm outputs when a fault occurs that operators can act on. Once a fault is detected in PlantView™, an alarm is outputted. The type of alarm can vary to suit the needs of the manufacturer. Examples of alarm outputs include:

LEDs

LED lights are multicolored and are programmed to indicate when a fault is occurring and the final grade of the package.

Label Printers

Most facilities use labels to identify the package. Manufacturers can link label printers to the Attalus System such that printers are located next to the position and print off labels as the position is being doffed. The labels contain information on the process name, lot number, date, time, machine #, position #, threadline # and most importantly the grade of the package. If the grade is out of specification the operator knows to segregate the package.

Other Devices

Alarm outputs from Attalus PlantView™ can be integrated with other plant devices. An example would be positional cutters which would cut down a position when a specific fault has been detected.

Status Reporting

Attalus PlantView™ provides operators and managers with a quick and graphical display on the status of their production. The user can decide to look at production on a plant, machine, position or threadline basis. Using powerful filters for items such as time, grade, fault type and package duration, the user can view yield and grade summaries and package grade information. If a package contained a fault, the fault information is displayed.
